As part of diversity day, year 5 studied the artist Esther Mahlangu. They were most fascinated by the fact that she had painted on a BMW and couldn’t wait to have a go at recreating her work. The children began with using a black pen to outline the patterns they wanted to use and shapes they wanted to include. They then folded their paper to create the traditional shape of a house. Here are some pieces of finished work.
