26th June 2025

What a fabulous day Year four spent at Bishops Wood outdoor learning centre. The weather was absolutely perfect. The children learnt more about Anglo-Saxons, how they invaded, what their houses were like, how to light a fire using flint and charcloth. Then we built a shelter and made it warmer using grasses and brackens. After lunch the children were able to try their hand at spinning yarns from fleece, brooch making using copper and modelling a clay thumb pot. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day. Thank you to Gregor and Elswith our guides for the day.
