Today, Denim and Sapphire went to the Black Country Living Museum to broaden their knowledge on the Victorian Era (their current Theme Topic). We had to investigate three people who lived in this era: their home, their work, what they did for playtime etc… We had the chance to explore and question different shops such as the sweet shop, hardware store, the church, the hairdressers, the radio shop and many more!

We were even lucky enough to experience a Victorian Style live lesson – we learnt about the 3 R’s (aRithmatic, wRiting and Reading), the punishments that were given and how different their school life was to ours now.

Have a look at our enjoyable day!
