This week we have invited our families in to join their children for a gardening morning. We planted lots of seeds and plants together and the children will be taking some of them home later in the week to watch them grow over half term. After we had finished our planting we had a play in our redeveloped Mud Kitchen area. We showed our grown ups how we cook with the mud and water and we all got a bit messy. Our children loved having their families in pre-school and we can’t wait to watch the seeds grow.

What did our parents think?

“Great morning, set up was very good. It’s nice to see our children in their pre-school environment and that parents can be included. We always look forward to these mornings!”

“We had so much fun at pre-school, gardening and paying with the kids! It was lovely to see them so confident and happy. KI still can’t believe they tidy up!! We want more mornings at pre-school please.”

“I really enjoyed this morning to be part of my childs learning journey. I love seeing him thrive and being able to see him settled in a happy environment. Thanks for putting on the workshops, me and my child look forward to them and find them beneficial to also know how to implement the learning at home in a way he understands and enjoys.”

“It’s great to be involved in my son’s day at pre-school and see him in this environment. It’s good to see a few activities on offer and the freedom for the children to explore. The mud cupcakes taste amazing!”
