We spent a sunny morning in our Mud Kitchen today. We used some of the herbs we have been growing in our culinary creations. We made pasta, noodles and cup cakes! Our children love playing here, getting messy, using their imaginations and developing their gross and fine motor skills.
This week our children have been picking fruit and vegetables in the school Community Grow Garden. We picked red and yellow tomatoes, chilli's, lettuce, potatoes and green beans. We also smelt all the herbs, they smelt delicious!
Today we have been conducting a Science investigation to identify which materials are conductors and which are insulators. We then concluded that all metal objects conduct electricity and cardboard, paper and plastic all insulate.
Last week we had a visit from the CO crew. First thing in the morning we had an assembly with Julie and Al to learn about Carbon Monoxide. We realised that you can't hear it, smell it, taste it, touch it or see it! We learnt that you need to have a special detector...
