We have been lucky enough to be gifted a new builders workbench by Mrs Millward in big school – Thank you so much!
The children have been exploring our new builders workshop. Fixing and building, dressing up in hard hats and hi-vis and working together. It has been great fun.
This week our children have been picking fruit and vegetables in the school Community Grow Garden. We picked red and yellow tomatoes, chilli's, lettuce, potatoes and green beans. We also smelt all the herbs, they smelt delicious!
Today we have been conducting a Science investigation to identify which materials are conductors and which are insulators. We then concluded that all metal objects conduct electricity and cardboard, paper and plastic all insulate.
Last week we had a visit from the CO crew. First thing in the morning we had an assembly with Julie and Al to learn about Carbon Monoxide. We realised that you can't hear it, smell it, taste it, touch it or see it! We learnt that you need to have a special detector...
