Held every year on 21 May, UNESCO leads the celebration of World Day for Cultural Diversity.
This day highlights not only the richness of the world’s cultures, but also the importance of achieving peace. We celebrated by dressing in cultures that represent us.
Year 5 have had a fantastic day with the Viking man. We have looked at lots of replica tools, weapons and utensils, at the types of clothes they wore, how they lived and how they fought. We then took part in a battle re-enactment with our own shields.
