We are delighted to announce the opening of our brand-new, purpose-built pre-school building, creating an inspiring new space for our youngest learners and expanding places to two-year-olds.
Designed with children at the heart of every decision, the new learning environment provides a bright, welcoming and engaging space where children can learn, play and thrive as they begin their educational journey. The building offers high-quality facilities that support exploration, creativity and early development, ensuring every child has the best possible start to their school experience.
The expansion also allows us to offer additional places for two-year-olds, enabling more local families to access high-quality early years education and care within our school community.
To celebrate this exciting milestone, we welcomed our pre-school and Reception children to a special Teddy Bears’ Picnic. The event was filled with laughter, friendship and fun as children enjoyed a cake, shared stories and introduced their favourite teddy bears to one another. It was a wonderful opportunity to mark the opening of the new building and create memories in our fantastic new spaces.
We were also pleased to welcome back our retired Headteacher, Terry Jones, whose vision and determination played a crucial role in making this project possible. Terry was instrumental in securing funding through the School-Based Nursery Capital Grant Fund, which enabled the school to purchase and install the new building. Her commitment to improving opportunities for local children has left a lasting legacy that will benefit families for years to come.
The opening of this new facility marks an exciting chapter for our pre-school and school. We look forward to seeing generations of children grow in confidence, curiosity and independence within this exceptional learning environment.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this project. We are proud to provide a space where our youngest learners can take their first steps on a lifelong journey of learning and discovery.
