For NSPCC numbers day, Y5 based their activities on Grandma’s shopping basket but instead of the supermarket, we shopped around the world. The children drew a world map and researched items and currency from different countries. They then wrote a maths problem to be solved by another group.
We've had a great start to 2026 in Sapphire Class! I asked children to share their hopes for 2026 and their answers were inspiring. We also finished our science topic of 'forces' by experimenting with Newton meters.
After sketching and resketching our landscape images, today we have added colour. We attempted to create the foreground, middle ground and back depth and used our previous skills of shade to alter our paint tones. We are very pleased we our results.
