Year 5 completed some art work for remembrance day. First, we chose pictures that represented our thoughts and feelings. Then we cut these into strips and stuck them down with gaps. We finished by completing the spaces in the gaps with our own drawings.

We've had a great start to 2026 in Sapphire Class! I asked children to share their hopes for 2026 and their answers were inspiring. We also finished our science topic of 'forces' by experimenting with Newton meters.
After sketching and resketching our landscape images, today we have added colour. We attempted to create the foreground, middle ground and back depth and used our previous skills of shade to alter our paint tones. We are very pleased we our results.
