Today we have been celebrating and learning all about VE Day. After our Praise assembly this morning we took part in a live Picture News zoom session. Afterwards we learnt more about VE Day and why it was a relief for some and heartbreak for others. We then researched further using iPads and created information posters. At 12pm we took part along with the Nation in a 2 minute silence. This afternoon we created mini Spitfires and had an afternoon tea party. In Year 4 we have also been learning about our feelings when the ‘air raid’ siren sounded and finding shelter. We have had an immersive day!!! and loved every minute of it.
