We have been looking at William Morris this term, linking with our Theme topic: The Victorians. We have been studying William Morris. He was a poet, artist and manufacturer. His career in designing started when he decorated his own house in London. He made a variety of art: stained glass windows, patterned wallpaper and tapestries. However, his most famous designs were his wallpaper designs. He created beautiful deigns of floral patterns (inspired by flowers and plants) which were repeated many times by block printing.

We have experimented with block and mono printing, as well as finishing off his patterns by repeating. Have a look at our work!
