30th March 2025

On Tuesday, as part of our Birmingham and Beyond topic, we prepared and cooked a healthy vegetable and chickpea Balti in Year 3. The Balti Triangle is an area of Birmingham which is famous for its many Asian restaurants, with the traditional Balti bowls first being made in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. We all had a chance to explore the recipe and ingredients, peel and chop some vegetables and stir the curry as it cooked. The best part of the day was tasting our Balti during the afternoon – it was delicious!
