Today we showed how street smart we were by walking safely across to the letterbox to post our Christmas cards.
We completed a traffic survey just to see how busy this area really is.
Well done to all Year One – we really impressed the adults with how we behaved!
In Year 1, we learned about the Hindu festival of Holi - the festival of colour - which celebrates the coming of Spring. We watched a video about what happens at Holi. Then we looked at images of Holi patterns and recreated them with coloured chalk on the playground....
After sketching and resketching our landscape images, today we have added colour. We attempted to create the foreground, middle ground and back depth and used our previous skills of shade to alter our paint tones. We are very pleased we our results.
